Bibi Heart’s had 12-15 volunteers that helped once to twice a week @ the Bibi workshops

We have taken hands with Drab2Fab Crafts with a Purpose project in helping with the creating of the Bibi's and products for the project. This is a fantastic job creation project which are providing income for the elderly and less privileged.

The sewing ladies are from Drab 2 Fab Craftsfor a purpose project, which is a job creation project where we provide income for the elderly, disabled and less fortunate individuals of society. We teach the ladies new skills and also gives them hope. They are given a chance to discover themselves and be uplifted, and thus have their selfworth given back to them.
Through the Bibi Heart’s Project Cancer Children are given comfort and hope with our Bibi packs andvisits. We also try to fulfil some of their immediate needs by buying them clothes and diapers. Whenpossible we also help with travelling fees to hospitals and accommodation for family members. Wemobilize individuals who do not believe in themselves.
Lifeline Bella Maria (a house for abused and abandoned women and their children) also join in with the weekly workshops which encourage and strengthen them. Each lady receives a warm meal at every workshop. Through the Bibi Hearts project we also say thank you to staff members or caretakers like doctors and nursing staff that dedicate their lives to the cancer children by giving them a thank you pack on behalf of the community.
The Bibi Heart’s Project advocates to humanity by motivating the community to use their own initiative by coming up with their own ideas for the project. We had a lady that drew a lovely colourful Bibi on a t-shirts and fun items for the Bibi packs such as colour in packs and stickers. We advocate to humanity by mobilizing ladies from the old age home to knit for the project, by equipping +/- 150 kids from LCF KidsGames by giving them handmade cards and treats to hand out to our elderly as part of the KidsGames outreach program.

We are joined by home schoolers on a monthly basis and together we reach out to retirement villages where we spend time with the elderly and treat them. Bibi Hearts creates opportunities to motivate and uplift all in the project or those who visit the workshops. We have been invited to Radio talks for the project exposure.

We make products to sell to the public to create awareness for Children with Cancer and also awareness for the project. By doing so we generate money for the job creation project and funds for the Bibi and Thank you packs. At the project we frequently hand out second hand clothing to those in need and we were involved in Nelson Mandela day by aiding with a knitting project.
